SQUASH: Senior Membership Renewal Information

Dear [[firstname]],

I’d like to update you on our approach for senior squash subscription renewals for the 2020/2021 season, ahead of an email to be sent shortly on how to pay.

For many of you, I know, clarity as to when ‘regular’ squash could be played again has been a major question. I am pleased to say that since my last membership update, England Squash has now provided a roadmap for how squash will return to ‘normal’. This started with us being able to play ‘regular’ squash in bubbles of up to six people from Tuesday 1st September. This is welcome news and timely ahead of the start of the season.

SENIOR MEMBERSHIP APPROACH 2020/21

First, thank you for your cooperation and support for the section during the past months when squash courts were closed and then opened under guidelines to play a restricted game that did not deliver the usual high level of enjoyment for many.

The Squash Committee has reviewed and agreed an approach for senior renewals for this coming year that strikes a good balance between acknowledging the disruption and securing the right financial outcome to provide members with good facilities and a good squash programme.

KEY POINTS FOR 2020/21 RENEWALS

1) Subscription rates for all senior categories remain the same. There is no increase for the first time in my memory. This year’s rates will be repeated at renewal.

SENIOR SQUASH 2020/2021 SUBS

Full Squash: £315

Off-Peak Squash: £190

Under 30 Squash: £190

2) There is a free-of-charge month, September 2020, for all members.

3) Significant development work was undertaken during the downtime for squash, transforming both the playing and viewing areas, making sure the courts are up there with the very best in the country.

4) Re-joining options are available to soften the impact of annual membership costs

SENIOR RENEWAL OPTIONS

While we have a road-map to the resumption of squash, there is a chance that we will experience further disruption as a result of the pandemic over the course of the next year. Therefore, an option is available to take a 10% discount off the senior subscription rate for the upcoming 12 months, equivalent to another free month and a bit more.

If you wish to make payment with a 10% discount you must notify reception first BEFORE MAKING PAYMENT. Email: reception@twcsquash.co.uk.

Alternatively, members wishing to support the club by not taking the 10% can renew as normal. Thanks will be expressed by the Squash Committee later in the year to those who show such generosity by renewing at the full rate.

Instalments are available for those who need to make payment in this way. Please contact Stacey to arrange. Email: director@twcsquash.co.uk

NEW PAYMENT METHOD

This year, payments for all annual subscriptions will be via a link to My Courts that will be sent to you in an email very shortly.

Please note that if your annual payment would ordinarily be made by annual Direct Debit this will NOT be taken this year. The My Court’s link will be the only method by which you can renew your membership.

Regards,

Tom Goulden
Squash Chairman
