SQUASH: Match play update/ Safety/ Leagues

Dear [[firstname]],

England Squash have updated their guidance around match play.

Players now have the green light to reintroduce best-of-five games with immediate effect. This means that whether in a squash bubble or playing sides, players can play best-of-five games including sudden death at ten-all and sanitising at six points.

The new leagues will be released tomorrow along with details of the rules around safety and how these can be played in addition to the bubbles. However, for this to be permissible and work safely players MUST continue to follow the current rules of play and use of the courts.

Attached is a reminder of the guidance around use of the courts and clubhouse prior to arrival, on arrival, whilst playing and after playing.

Full guidance from England Squash can be read here:

Please review the summary of the rules below.

- Sanitise the door handles before and after play with the cleaning
materials provided

- Court bookings are for a maximum of 45 mins of play. The one hour
booking slots are to allow the air to circulate and be recycled
after play. Players MUST vacate the court for at least 15 minutes
prior to the next booking

- Place BOTH names in the booking sheet

- Arrive no more than 5 minutes before the time the court is
booked. Leave the squash corridor immediately after play and
spend as little time as possible there

- Minimise touch points by not sitting down outside the courts

If you have not yet expressed an interest to join the leagues but would like to do so please reply to this email.

Regards,

Stacey Ross
Squash Director
