New League Season - and the “bounce back” struggle begins ... The Wimbledon Club 1sts play at HOME 7.30pm Wednesday 14th October vs Christopher’s 3 , After last week’s last minute walkover handed to us by RAC 1 , the first team will be taking on Christopher’s 3rd team this Wednesday evening in what will be their first real home game of the new season. This season is all about ensuring The Wimbledon Club 1sts regain their place back in Division 1 and to that end we will be fielding our strongest side whenever the players are available beginning this week in our local derby. We have 2 players making their Wimbledon Club debuts this week, 1st string Ben Coleman and number 5 Dan Bergin. BEN COLEMAN Ben Coleman is currently enjoying his highest world ranking of 63 and was part of the Division 1 winning team at Wimbledon Rackets and Fitness last season. DAN BERGIN Daniel Bergin is aged 19 and has played for Wales in every age junior group from U13s to U19s. He turned professional as a senior this September aspiring to make the Welsh senior national team and currently plays No.1 for Newport Squash Rackets club in the South Wales Premier League. The full line up in order for this week’s game will be as follows ; Ben Coleman Scott Fitzgerald Rob Downer Steve Richardson Dan Bergin HAPPY HOUR Remember “Happy Hour” with two for the price of one on all beer and house wines for our home supporters runs again from 8.00pm - 9.00pm starting this Wed and for every home game of the season.
