SQUASH: Junior Coaching start dates and restructure

Dear [[firstname]],

Junior Squash resumes at The Wimbledon Club on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October in a new way that brings greater flexibility and enjoyment while following Covid-19 guidelines.

Ahead of the start of the season and membership renewals, I’d like to introduce you to the new Junior Squash Programme.

NEW FOR JUNIOR SQUASH IN 2020/2021

Whereas before there was only one type of membership, now three are offered, plus a coaching- only package. All in all, they are designed to fit better with what people want out of squash.

New too are social coaching sessions for parents throughout the year so they can learn the basics. Social coaching for parents now becomes complimentary to all junior membership categories.

KEY POINTS FOR 2020/21 RENEWALS AND OTHER NEW INITIATIVES

- September 2020 was made a free-of-charge membership month for all Squash members
- During the downtime the opportunity was taken to transform both the playing and viewing areas, making sure the courts are up there with the very best in the country
- A new Junior ‘club membership only’ category has been created for squash at a significantly reduced rate
- Junior Improver Plus membership allows parents to play with their children for free and provides discount on individual lessons and camps

The Squash Committee sees the above as striking a good balance between value for money and being able to provide good playing facilities and engaging coaching.

NEW PAYMENT METHOD

Note that currently on My Courts all junior members are classed Junior Improvers – as it is more or less the equivalent to what they have now. Therefore, if a child wishes to change from the Improver category to another at the time of renewal please notify reception BEFORE renewing. reception@twcsport.co.uk

Payments for all annual subscriptions will be via a link to My Courts that will be sent to you in an email shortly. This is the only method of payment. Email reception@twcsport.co.uk if you have any problems.

Direct Debits will NOT be taken this year.

Instalments are available for those who need to make payments in this way. Please contact Stacey to arrange. Email: director@twcsquash.co.uk

For how this new programme works with Covid-19 guidelines, see attached.

The coaches are very much looking forward to welcoming the Squash Juniors back. Thank you for your patience during the past months when squash courts were closed and then opened with restricted use.

If you have questions about any of coaching aspects please email Stacey.

Regards,

Stacey Ross
Squash Director
