, We have now reached the semi final stage of the Men's Open which will take place tomorrow evening. The seedings were upset at the quarter final stage this week by Simon Birch when he put in an impressive performance to take out the number 2 seed Stuart Hibbert 3-0. Simon now takes on Luke Rackham tomorrow night in the bottom half of the draw at 7.30pm. Neither player has previously reached the final of the Men's Cub Champs. Following on from the Birch v Rackham encounter will be number one seed Rob Gale playing Michael Stenning at 8.15pm. This evening is the semi final of the O/55s, David Lissaman and Howard Cherlin will be fighting it out for a place in the final. All semi finals are set to be great games so come along and support the players. The finals will be played over two evenings, Friday 20th May and Saturday 21st May. The schedule for the two evenings is as follows: Friday 20th May: Doubles - 6.30pm Mixed Doubles - 6.30pm Plate - 7.15pm approx O/55s - 7.15pm approx Saturday 21st May - BBQ & Drinks (1 free drink courtesy of the squash section.) Ladies Open 5.30pm Handicap - 5.30pm O/45s - 5.30pm Men's Open - 6.15pm We will be using 3 courts to ensure good time keeping. The squash section would like to invite all who watch the final to a FREE BBQ at 7.15pm on the terrace along with a FREE first drink.
