SQUASH - Team News and Fixtures

Dear [[firstname]],

The Men’s 1st team play their Division 1 home match this week on Wednesday 24th Jan, the result of which may give our top team an opportunity to win the strongest league in Surrey.

TWC 1s were forced to play all of the 1st half without top player Jonah Bryant and Sam Osbourne-Wylde due to a mixture of injuries and tournament commitments. Both players have made welcome returns in the second half quickly helping to secure solid wins in the first few games against teams who we struggled against in 2023. Last week TWC beat Division 1 leaders Colets 4-1, reversing a previous 4-1 loss in the first half.

Our team will be at full strength this week against New Malden who are just one place behind in 5th. The team line ups are shown below.

1ST TEAM - WED 24TH Jan: TWC 1 v New Malden 1
Jonah Bryant v Joe Lee
Jared Carter v Yusuf Sheik
Jordan Warne v Jack Webster
Sam Osbourne- Wylde v Lewis Walters
Alex Broadbridge v Michael Chak

OTHER TEAM FIXTURES

Men’s 2s challenging for Division 1:

TWC 2s have had an phenomenal season and are leading Division 2, just 4 points ahead of Surrey Sports Park . A top place finish would mean promotion into the top division alongside TWC 1s. It would indeed be an incredible feat but with 5 matches still to play many twists and turns lie ahead.

The first of those last five 5 matches start tomorrow, Tuesday 23rd when TWC 2s play St George’s Hill at home.

2ND TEAM - TUESDAY TWC 2s - line up shown below.

Stacey Ross
Andrew Long
Tim Burrell
Rufus Hawkings
James Whelan

WED 31ST Jan: 1st Team Match Night- Men’s 1s and Ladies 1s at home

Both the men’s and ladies teams 1st teams will play at home next Wednesday. Please make a note to come along and support both of the club’s top sides.

Our ladies are currently in 5th place but with a game in hand and with just 9 points between them and third place there is a good chance for them to move inside the top 3.

Regards,

Stacey Ross
Squash Director
