On Wednesday this week, 10th Jan, both the men’s and ladies 1st teams play at home starting at 7.30pm.
Our ladies side, currently in 4th place in Division 1, take on New Malden and will be led by Club Professional Kace Bartley at first 1st string.

LADIES 1ST TEAM HOME FIXTURES

Wednesday’s match is the first game of the second half and TWC will start off in 6th place. There are just two other teams below them in the division but a significant number of points split places 6 and 7.
Looking up the division there are just 9 points between 3rd and 6th places giving good opportunity for our Men’s 1s to move into the top three spots. A strong start is needed to begin that move up the division and fortunately player availability is good for Wednesday’s game.
Jonah Bryant makes a welcome return and will play at number 1. Jonah was runner up last night in the final of the under 19 British Open, the most coveted junior event in the world, narrowly losing 11/9, 11/9, 9/11, 11-/7 to Egypt’s Mohamed Zakaria. The tournament was dominated by Egypt who incredibly swept the board winning all age groups, boys and girls from under 11 to under 19 and with no fewer than 6 of the deciders being all-Egyptian affairs – an amazing feat.
Our opponents on Wednesday will be local club Wimbledon Racquets and Fitness who sit in 3rd place.
