Dear Members,
Thank you to those who have taken part in the last Summer box leagues and made it a success for my first edition. I am pleased to report that out of 23 box leagues and a total of 690 matches, the uptake has been mostly positive, with 75 % of matches having been completed, 2 boxes having played all their matches, but there were unfortunately 3 boxes that didn't manage to complete a match.
As per our rules and regulations, we are removing all players who haven't managed to complete a match. It may be due to an injury or other circumstances, so please do contact us asap to discuss the situation. Also, if you want to change partners in doubles, please let us know before Wednesday next week. Equally, if you wish to join the next round of leagues, please let us know asap.
The next WINTER BOX LEAGUE will be running for 3 months and will start on the 1st of NOVEMBER 23 until the 31st of JANUARY 24. I understand it may overlap the Christmas holidays, but I also want to give the options to those who are working during the week to hopefully be able to play some matches during their time off.
The following Box League will be :
• SPRING: 01 MARCH 24 – 31 MAY 24
• SUMMER: 01 JULY 24 – 31 SEPTEMBER 24
May I remind everyone that this event is not compulsory and the success of the box leagues rely on each individual's participation, communication and engagement. I would consider that after 2 attempts of setting up dates and times with your opponent, and receiving no communication back, the choice of picking a different player is the right one. Do keep us in the loop if you have difficult arranging matches.
The number of players per box has been raised to avoid this situation and hopefully, you will have more matches to play.
The match formats remain the same, and please remember the importance of fair play and sportsmanship to create a fun and competitive atmosphere.
