$20,000 Pro Squash starts soon- Tickets available now

Dear [[firstname]],

TWC’s fifth world ranking squash tournament will get underway in just over two weeks' time when the first rounds begin on Sunday 22nd August.

12 matches will take place on the opening day beginning at 10.30am. The last match is scheduled for 5.30pm unless the previous rounds over run.

There will be a BBQ from around 1pm on Sunday which will run through until late in the afternoon. Tickets will be available from the bar on the day.

Georgina Kennedy tops the ladies' entries and is arguably the most in-form player on the Ladies World Tour at present. Georgina yesterday beat two time National Champion Tesni Evans currently ranked 11 in the world, to earn a place in the finals of the British Nationals where she’ll face Sarah-Jane Perry. The first time in 46 years that an unseeded player has reached the British National Final. Georgina has also won five of her last six events on the PSA Challenger Tour.

Top entry for the men’s event is Richie Fallows, currently ranked 56 in the world. Richie is seeded to meet Joshua Masters in the final who has used his former world ranking of 67 to gain the second seed position.

Amongst the opening rounds are England’s brightest and youngest stars, Torrie Malik, Katie Malliff and Elize Lazarus who already making waves in the senior game plus TWC coaches Jordan Warne and Kace Bartley.

Former Club Champion Jordan Warne has drawn the wildcard in this year’s $10,000 Challenger event and plays Jaymie Haycocks, now based in the U.S in his first round on Sunday. Jordan I am sure would appreciate the support of the TWC home crowd. The match is not to be missed and is scheduled to start at 4.30pm.

Our junior Squash members have been benefitting from the coaching skills of Kace Bartley who is ranked 135 in the world. Kace has been coaching our girls' squad on a Friday evening as well as delivering our summer camps. Kace has drawn Au Yeong Wai Yhann from Singapore in the first round.

Katie Malliff aged 18 is the U23 British Champion who reached the final of the European under 19 championship at 15 years of age. Katie has been awarded the wildcard for this year’s British Open which only features players inside the top 48 in the world. Katie has drawn Lucy Beecroft who has represented England and held a former ranking of 95 in the world.

Elize Lazarus aged 20 is one of the most talented players the U.K. has produced. She has won national under 17 and under 23 titles and reached a world ranking of 85 aged just 17. Poor health sadly affected her ability to play tournaments resulting in a loss of ranking points which she is now fast making up.

Torrie Malik is just 17 years old and has won numerous junior national titles. She is now quickly progressing up the senior ranks and already holds a senior world ranking of 124.
