The news that squash players everywhere have waited months for is now here!
From Monday 17th full court Squash for adults and juniors is now permissible without any restrictions.
There will not be any bubbles. Members can play just as they did prior to the pandemic.
Away from the court however the rules around face coverings and social distancing must still be observed.
Key updates include the following permitted activity:
• Players can get on court with multiple households and play full court squash e.g. best of five
• Doubles is allowed
• The maximum number of players on court allowed are 4 adults or children.
• Spectators are allowed to return, but must observe maximum of six people or two households as well as social distancing rules and wear face coverings.
COURT USAGE
- Extractors must remain on at all times
- Courts will remain bookable for a one hour period but 15 minutes must still be left before the next booking so that the air can be recycled
- Door handles must be cleaned before and after use
COURT BOOKINGS
- Court fees will remain at £1 until further notice
- Both names MUST be added to the booking sheet
COACHING, GROUP PLAY AND LEAGUES
- A reduction of up to 50% on lessons shall remain in place until the end of May
- Club Night will return on Monday 24th May with minor restrictions on numbers. Full details will be sent out next week.
- Team Training, Ladies Training, Club Training, Coffee Morning, Junior Club Night will all return this month, dates to follow next week
- Leagues will restart with results remaining pre-lockdown. League end date is the end of July
