SQUASH: Social, Team and World Class Squash

Dear [[firstname]],

This coming Wednesday 25th January both the Men’s and Ladies first teams are playing at home.

The Men’s team are second from top in Division 1 and take on Colets who are currently in third place.

Sam Osbourne-Wild is ranked number two in the UK in under19s behind Jonah Bryant and will be making his home debut.

The ladies team are up against Cheam who are positioned toward the lower end of the table whilst TWC are placed mid table.

SOCIAL MIX-IN

This coming Thursday 26th there will be a general match play session for players of all abilities. The format will depend on the number of players who attend.

The session is free, will run between 5.45pm and 8.15pm and a food and beverage offer will be available afterwards.

There are around 11 players confirmed to attend so far. If you would like to come along please email director@twcsquash.co.uk

WORLD CLASS TOURNAMENT

The Optasia Championships will run between 21st and 26th March this year on an all glass court which will be constructed in the indoor sports hall.

Premium backwall tickets for the quarter and semi finals are sold out. There are however still some back wall seats available.

This tournament will feature the very best players in the world. Last year the event was won by world number 1 Ali Farag and had five of the world’s top ten players in the draw.

TWC’s Optasia Championships is one of the largest events on the PSA World Tour calendar and arguably the strongest event of its size.

The later rounds all sold out last year. If you are intending to come along and watch please do not delay in purchasing your tickets which can be done below.

County Championships

The Surrey Closed took place last weekend at Purley Squash Club and the winner of the ladies event was club member Emmeline Gale.

Congratulations to Emmeline for for tremendous achievement!

Not receiving Email Newsletters?

  • Login and check you email address is correct.
  • Contact Us if you changed your email address.
  • Check you spam/junk folders (and mark the message as "not spam/junk" if you find it there).
